7 Chakras Chakra is a concept of yoga. These chakras are believed to control various functions in our body. Chakras are the energy centres of the body. When there is positive energy around us, it means the 7 chakras are in the right direction and fully charged. These 7 chakras represents where the vital energy points are in the human bod. They are located in the body, along the spine, starting from the foot and going up to the head.   There are 7 Chakras or Shaktisthanas in our body, through which the life force circulates. When the chakras are blocked, then the best way to release the energy trapped in the body is Yoga, Because through these yogasanas, we can keep these chakras in the body stimulated and balanced. Yogasana is not only for the body or physical fitness but also to gain your mental fitness too. That is why Yogasana is the best exercise for balancing the chakras.   Types of these 7 chakras are as follows:- 1. Muladhara Chakra – Root Chakra 2. Svadhishthana Chakra...

Today I came across a picture through a social media forwards which forced me to again think about the reality of our behaviour. Following is the picture I am talking about. ** Credit : Unknown  After thoroughly going through this picture, I realised that we can definitely control our wrong emotions, habits and last but not least our attitude towards many things. Many times in our personal as well as in professional life people stay away from many good things or success because of their wrong attitude i.e EGO.   Ego always leads to misunderstanding. Misunderstanding don’t tell us truth or fact, ego never allows us to see the true side. So always keep your attitude as student and always keep on learning things from each and everyone. Also always speak to yourself and others positive. In my personality development classes I always tell my students about this with the help of Shree Ganapati Atharvashirsh. In Shree Ganapati Atharvashirsh it is said that “Ava vaktaram (vakta...

International Day of Yoga Today we are celebrating International Day of Yoga. The idea of International Yoga Day was kicked by our Hon. Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modiji, who proposed this concept in 2014, during his speech at the UN General Assembly. The draft resolution passed by India was supported by 177 nations. The first International Yoga Day was celebrated on June 21, 2015. June 21 which is also known as the summer solstice was chosen as the International Yoga Day because it is the longest day of the year. The idea behind initiating yoga day is to spread awareness about this ancient Indian practice of yoga. Yoga is widely practiced for health and relaxation, its roots are in ancient India and are considered as an ascetic Hindu spiritual discipline practice. Let’s have a quick look at benefits of doing Yoga •  Helps to improve body posture:- Working for long hours not only hurt your spine at the end of the day. Some positive thoughts for all of us, which works for us as supplementary diet food. Try to change your perspective how you perceive yourself and how you perceive others too. People stay away from achieving great things due to ego and misunderstanding. Misunderstanding don't tell the truth and ego doesn't allow us to see the truth.. "The world suffers a lot. Not because of the violence of bad people, but because of the silence of good people." ―Napoleon Bonaparte. Strength is needed only to those people who want to do something bad, Otherwise in the world, to get everything Just "love" is enough, Because " The world can be conquered " by only love !! “Push your boundaries beyond the ordinary; be that “extra” in “extraordinary.” ― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart. Age or stumbling don't and can't stop us from doing anything if we are very firm about doing, whether the circumstances are in favour of you or not. “All we have to decide i...

Vat Savitri/ Vatpoornima In Hinduism, Vatpoornima is celebrated with great enthusiasm by married women. Jyeshtha Pournima is also known as Vatpoornima. Why we perform this pooja only on Jyeshtha Pournima? the reason is Vat vruksha (banyan tree) has the thickest shade than all other trees. Continuous water is dripping out from Vat vruksha (banyan tree) therefore, the land under Vat vruksha (banyan tree) is always moist. And For this, the shadow of Vat vruksha is extremely beneficial. Now another question comes up here is why we worship Vat vruksha (banyan tree)? River water, Vat vruksha (banyan tree) shade and mud house are all cool stuff in summer and hot in winter. If there was a house with these three things, there would have been no need for cooler or AC. It means Vat vruksha gives us most calm and coolness. Looking at scientific  perspective of Vat vruksha or Vad (banyan tree), it is the tree which always emits oxygen. People worship banyan tree. It is assumed that Tridev i.e....

The importance of Stotra/prayers:- ‘Stotra’ means praise to the god/goddess, reciting prayers. By reciting the prayers, a protective shield is formed around the person reciting the prayers and protects him from the negative/evil forces, this is also called as "Aura." When a stotra/prayer is recited in a certain rhythm or in a pattern, at that time a special positive power is created from that stotra. For this, it is necessary to recite the stotra in a specific rhythm or in a specific pattern. Our saints have done great favours to us by composing stotras, mantras and prayers. Stotras/prayers are the specific sound waves that have been developed by using specific letters, taking into account that how it can be used for the physical and mental benefit of human beings and for the purification of the heart. The characteristic of stotras/prayers recitation is that with the help of the letters of the stotras, various chakras in the human body are awakened. Normally a person uses 10%...

How to cleanse your mind:- From today's blog we will learn about how to cleanse our mind. To explain this I have given some references to understand it easily. Louise Hay was an American woman. During her pre-life, she was subjected to a lot of physical abuse till the age of 15 years. Because of this, her attitude towards the world was so negative that she feels that the whole world is bad and I don't deserve to live. Later, at the age of 40, she got cancer. When she realize that those who done this with her, have gone away; Nothing has changed in their lives. If anyone is suffering is myself with disease of cancer, because of all the negative feelings about all those years (Anger, hatred, disgust) I have held. If I want to get out of this, I need to forgive them all. Well, those who did it, was it worth forgiving? of course not, from our point of view. But  Louise  Hey cleared her mind. She took out all the anger that was in her mind about all those people and forgave them al...
