Svadhishthana Chakra (Sacral Chakra)
Today we will talk about the next chakra i.e Svadhishthana Chakra (Sacral Chakra). The Sacral Chakra or Svadhishthana Chakra is the second energy center among all energy chakras. Every chakra generates pranic energy in our astral body and creates the balance in our physical body.
First let’s understand the meaning of Svadhishthana.
Svadhishthana:- Sva means Self and adhishthana means place, residence. Svadhishthana means “Your own seat,” or “One’s own place” or “dwelling place of the Self”, supporting personal expansion and exploration of desires, sexuality and creativity.
Let’s have some more important information about Svadhishthana Chakra at a glance:-
~The Seed Mantra or Beeja mantra corresponds to the Svadhishthana Chakra is “Vam (वं)”. “Vam” is the cleansing mantra for your Svadhishthana chakra, associated with satisfaction, pleasure and creativity. By chanting VAM, the vibrations will open and align our Svadhishthana chakra.
~Element of Svadhishthana Chakra is “Water.” The water is an element which is all about flow, flexibility and freedom of expression when it comes to emotions and sensuality. Water has an adhesive properties. Water is flexible in nature, but also an immense power when out of control. Connecting with water just like lake, river, helps to circulate energy in the Svadhishthana Chakra. Taking a shower or a warm bath helps to regulate emotions.
~Color for Svadhishthana Chakra is “Orange.” Orange is the colour of activity and purity. It is the colour of the sunrise. Orange is symbolic of the rising consciousness just like rising sun. Orange is the color of enthusiasm, joyful, vitality and strength. The qualities that Orange color carries with it are joy, faith, self-confidence, and balanced energy. Orange color is considered to induce creativity and stimulate pleasure.
~Location of Svadhishthana Chakra is “ Lower Abdominal Centre.” as being situated in the lower abdomen, four finger-breadths below the navel. It represents our source of creativity and sexuality and the coordinating organs are the reproductive system, kidney and bladder.
We will continue in my next blog with more information about Svadhishthana Chakra. I will share what we need to do e to balance or energise this chakra. Also we will also look at what happens if it is goes into imbalanced state.
